Weekend in Stavanger

This weekend I've been visiting my sister in Stavanger. Had a fabulous time - as always! Here are some pics.

 My sister really knows how to make her guest feel welcome. This chicken curry soup tasted as good as it looks like.

 Not to mention these heavenly chocolate orange cheese cake cookies... Divine! Get the recipe from the adorable Passion4Baking.

I also got a little souvenir... Sheepskin lined platform booties from Gardenia. So warm, so comfortable, so stylish! These will be my companion during the Norwegian winter months.

And last, but not least, I simply have to show you these pieces of sushi art from Sabi Sushi. If you happen to be in the Stavanger area, make sure to order a meal from this high end sushi takeaway. You will NOT be disappointed. Yum!

My Weekend Diary

Friday:

My boss' birthday required celebration. Carrot cake it is!

On my bike on my way home - Weekend on its way!



Cycling the 15 km route back and forth has its pros and cons. On a day like this: Mostly pros.



Reading interior decoration magazines. A bunch of them! Whenever I find something inspirational, I snap a picture of it to keep it in mind. I love the photo collage in this snapshot.

Another great idea that I will carry out as soon as I have a spare moment....

Saturday:

Time for vernissage! My talented mother in law, Turid Dørum, opened her first solo exhibition  at Døla Atelier in Lillehammer. I am so proud of her!

And their coffee menu! Just keep in mind that the service can be quite slow.  Obviously,  people in rural areas have all the time in the world... Fortunately, they have a bunch of magazines available to forget about the wait:)

Summer holiday is just around the corner (at least for me!) In just a week I am heading for another adventurous trip to the United States. Ahhh! I am SO excited! Las Vegas and SoCal - here I come! As usual I put a lot of energy into packing the ultimate holiday wardrobe. The key is to prioritize your favorite items that matches easily, AND make room for shopping. Usually I end up with too much, but this time I will try really hard to pack light (as it gets, regarding the heavy studs on my Wang bag...)
