The Festive Month of The Year

Hello sweeties! I'm not dead, just behind blogging schedule.  Please forgive me! Anyway, December is the festive month of the year with lots of opportunities to put on the fancy dress. Here's a start:

Outfit details:
Dress and shoes: Lanvin for H&M. Necklace: Vercace for H&M. Tights: Lindex (I think...)

Last week I came across a wonderful sample sale with clothes and scarfs from Wildfox and Autumn Cashmere. I wasn't really planning on buying anything, but then I spotted this:

Comfy sweater in rabbit hair blend(!) by Wildfox. Love it!

Same skirt New Wrapping

Outfit details:
Sweater: Vintage. Skirt: Bik Bok. Ballerinas: Unisa. Watch: Omega

I'm so in love with my blush skirt from Bik Bok that I decided to wear it two days in a row. Today, I opted for tougher look adding some leather and studs to it. Finally I got to wear my heavy (literally speaking!) vintage leather sweater that I came across in a Paris vintage shop last summer.

Friday Night's Outfit

Sleevless shirt: Bik Bok. Shorts: Levi's. Tights: Gina Tricot. Clutch: My Marlene Birger. Ring: Forever 21.
Unfortunately, I didn't bring along my camera, but I did snap an outfit picture before heading to the party Friday night. Yeah... I know, I should have put my shoes on before imortalize my look. I promise to remember that next time...:)
The shirt is new. I picked it up from Bik Bok's one day sale this Thursday. Very fashion economic!

Still Going Shorty

Even though the summer is well passé (at least in Oslo), there's no reason to clear your shorts away. Worn with tights, the short season can last throughout the cooler seasons.
My pair is from Bik Bok, and I've styled it with a turtle neck from H&M, shoes from Zara, and my usual arm candy from Mulberry.

Today I'm wearing...

....dress and scarf from H&M, combined with Faux leather jacket from April 77, vintage boots from Paris and my Mulberry bag.
Now, I'm off to the movies to see the new Norwegian movie, "Tatt av kvinnen".

White Wedding

I have never in my life seen more beautifully arranged flowers than my friend's wedding bouquet. She married her high school boyfriend yesterday - the biggest event of the summer of 07, and I got to celebrate the big day with 58 friends and family members. As you can imagine, it was a great day and night!
My dress for the day was a second hand purchase from a Bangkok market, whereas my shoes origin from ASOS.

My Silver Dress

I bought this dress at Gina Tricot earlier this summer, and it quickly became a wardrobe hit. As it can be worn with leggings, tights or skinny jeans, it is easy to combine and to dress up and down. Hence, it's been great value for money (and it was cheap, too!)

In this pictures, I've styled it with a pearl necklace from Dyrberg/Kern, leggings from Lindex and shoes from ASOS.

Stress-less-day

Today has been a fine day: Breakfast at United Bakeries with a friend, helping my boyfriend painting his apartment (a bit of styling before selling), then dinner at the local favourite restaurant.

Tonight's outfit includes the following:
Dress: H&M
Gold belt: My grandmother's
Necklace: eBay
Purse: Becksöndergaard
Ballerina flats and stockings

Friendly Charity

The skirt I was wearing today was given to me by my really nice friend who claimed it didn't suit her. Exchanging clothes that we don't wear, is indeed a great way of updating our wardrobes without spending a penny. Like friendly charity!
Outfit details:

Skirt: Jenny Hellstrøm
Cardigan: French Connection (with my own lace ribbon)
Top: H&M
Bag: Miu Miu
The flowers belong to someone's rose garden.

Report Of The Day

T-shirt: Marc Jacobs, Bolero: Gina Tricot, Jeans: April 77, Pendant: Dyrberg/Kern

My weekend in Copenhagen with my girlfriends was great fun. Although I didn't shop that much, just looking around at Illums and Urban Outfitters was not too bad either. We were lucky, 'cause the summer sale had just started. This meant that this golden pendant from Dyrberg/Kern became mine for half the price. Very fashion economic, I must say;-)

Copenhagen street style in general is quite laid back. Jeans, t-shirts or vest tops with big scarfs like on the picture were spotted regularly.

Oh Happy Daaay!

With record breaking 30 degrees in Oslo, what could be better than spending the day on one of the islands in Oslofjorden? Together with what seemed to be 1/4 of the city's municipals, I went on a half day trip to Hovedøya, where I spent time sunbathing and swimming for the first time this year:)
A great day!

My after beach outfit:
- Halterneck top from Bik Bok
- Skirt from Bik Bok
- Flip-flops bought in Thailand (blister friendly shoes, yes please...)
- Secondhand bag (as before)
- sun glasses from Tom Ford

Today I'm wearing a secondhand shirt dress bought in Paris, combined with my mother's belt, shoes from Bronx and bag from Mulberry. The bracelet is CC & Sky.

Now, I'm off to work, and later on, I'll spend as much time as possible outdoor in "Hawaii Oslo":)
Have a brilliant Friday, everyone!!!

Top: H&M
Cardigan: Cubus
Butterfly necklace: My sister's... and I think it origins from Nice, France.
Bag: From my local vegetable market;)

A Walk In The Park

Finally, the sun hit Oslo on a Saturday! This, of course, had to be taken advantages of by strolling around the city. Oslo might be dull in the winter, but as soon the sun is shining, it lights up wildly. Also, people seem happier and the trees blossom beautifully.
This was the first time I got to use my new secondhand shirt dress that I found at Boucherie, the Parisian vintage store. My mom used to wear something similar in the 80's, but as fashion is circular, I now think it's time to bring it back into life.

...and that's how it ended

Just a picture of the "real outfit" yesterday night:
Jacket: April 77
T-shirt: designed by my sister
Shorts: Zara
Shoes: ASOS
Purse: Becksöndergaard, Copenhagen

Party Friday!

I know they say that time's moving fast when you're having fun. I don't know that about my working week, but at least the Friday is here. Lovely!
Tonight I'm going to a friend's birthday party. He's promised to serve tapas, so that sounds...well, promising!:)
The outfit will probably be something like in this picture: Shorts, thick tights, and heels.
The faux leather jacket is new from Paris - another masterpiece from April 77! (I'm indeed attracted to their punk style...)
Have a superb weekend, everyone!

My Neighbour is Nice

Apparently, my neighbour must be either very rich or a bit stupid to throw away this metallic leather bag from Bottega Veneta. The bag and the cute looking scarf was placed in a box together with some other stuff in the basement. The box had the following note tagged on: Please help yourself. What's left will be given to the salvation army (Fretex).

The bag is just lovely and fits great with the summer's metallic trend. The leather feels nice and soft, but still I'm a bit doubtful. Can it really be an authentic Bottega Veneta? I'm not that familiar with their bag, but I do know they're high class. Can anyone help me with authenticating it?

Real or faux, the bag goes well with today's simple outfit, that's comprised of a sweater from H&M and jeans from Fornarina
