Great savings on Body Care Products!

Right now Strawberrynet offers a wide selection of luxurious body moisturizing products at extremely friendly prices. Perfect for gifts to your girlfriends - or yourself!

DIY - Beaded Earrings

I'm not a designer by profession, but I like being creative and make or fix things myself.
My latest obsession is beading earrings - a fun and easy way to get hold of your dream jewelry without paying a fortune. I've for long been a fan of the Norwegian designer Zusanna G's beautiful jewelry. So when a friend of mine proved me that they are not too tricky to make yourself, I let her take me to the store, Perlekjeden in Sandvika.
In addition to their wide selection of swarowski crystal beads, their staff are happy to assist if you chose to make your own designs in store. How convenient!

In progress: Almost finished with my first pair in deep turquoise and gold
Inspiration: Why pay up to NOK 1000 for these when you can make your own for a fraction of the price?

Saturday's Wear

After going through my closet, sorting out stuff that I'm sure I'll never wear again, I discovered a few things that were worth a revival. This skater skirt by H&M, for instance, had been undeservedly ignored for too long and deserved its second chance.
In general, I find it hard to separate with my clothes. Due to limited storing space, however, I have started selling some (at Finn.no) and giving some away the to charity (Family, fleamarkets or Fretex). But I never give away belts (tend to go in and out of fashion quicker than other things), jewelry, pretty dresses or clothes that bring good memories.

Besides from the revived skirt my outfit today comprise of ballerinas purchased at Century 21 in ew York, vintage scarf from Kiliwatch, and wool blazer from Et Vous (bought at Et Vous Stock in 15 rue de Turbigo, 75002 Paris that sells ends of ranges at rock bottom prices. Worth a visit if you're going to Paris!)

Scoop from Designerkollektivet's Sample Sale

Thanks to the great blogger Ladybird I found out about the sample sale at Designerkollektivet at Aker Brygge. Here, a group of Norwegian prominent designers sold out their samples and showpieces to very nice prices.

Therefore this wonderful skirt by the design duo Elton & Jacobsen finally became mine! I've been admiring it from distance for a while, but the price has been to high. This, however, was not.. And as a bonus this one is a one of a kind piece. I like!
Vera & William creates soft and worm undergarments in a perfect blend of silk and wool. Perfect for keeping warm, yet stylish during the long winter season. This will be my all days wear. That's for sure!

A French Lady's Fur

What I like about buying vintage clothes is that it has a story. Right now I wonder what French lady who used to own this fur coat that I got from Free 'P' Star in Paris. At least I like to think that it used to belong to a real Lady - or perhaps a Femme Fatale?
I added a belt to update the look, and I also plan on wearing a big scarf when the cold sets in.

My week in Paris!

I can't truly excuse my blogging absence. However, I've just come back from a week in Paris! Paris is truly one of my favourite cities in the world, and a place I'll never get enough of! Besides from the obvious tour Eiffel, I'll share some of my favourite spots with you.

Palais Royal

Apart from being one of the most beautiful gardens in Paris, Palais Royal also houses a few fashion goodies, like Marc Jacobs' concept store and Didier Ludot, the famous vintage dealer of haute couture garments from the 20s to the 80s.

Jardin des Tuileries

If you need some rest after spending all your money in the designer stores around Rue St. Honoré, the garden of Tuileries is a fine place to sit down. Enjoy the view, watch the stylish Parisians around you, and let your mind wander back to the earlier centuries.

Marais

Don't even think about leaving Paris without spending a Sunday in Marais. The narrow streets of the 11. arrondissement block out the traffics on Sundays and keep stores open. Start off my the metro station St. Paul, and walk down Rue du Roi de Sicile, up Rue Veille de Temple and stop by the trendy La Perle for a glass of cheap wine. And don't overlook Free 'P' Star. This heavy loaded vintage shop in 61 Rue de la Verrerie is a haven for treasure hunters. I bought a vintage fur coat from there - I'll come back to that later:)

Ladurée

This historic patisserie is tastful, stylish and classy. Who else would have their special editions macarons designed by Christian Louboutin?
Their first and best branch is situated at 21, Rue Bonaparte in St. Germain-des-Près

I could have listed up tons of more places, but I'll think I'll stop here and come back with more.

Today and yesterday

This weekend has been great, and walking along the beach in sunny weather felt so good.
I've more or less moved into these cut-off Levi's - they're so comfy and go with everything, including this white shirt from Zara and pink scarf from a vintage store close to Carl Berner in Oslo.

Today is our one year anniversary, and my husband took me by surprise with a large bouquet of roses:)

Hanging out in the park wearing:
Shirt from Hollister
Skirt from Zara
Bag by Alexander Wang
Earrings designed by a friend of mine

New Haircut

I don' cut my hair that often, but when I do feel the need for a hair cut, I'v got to get it done at an instant. Like today, I woke up realizing today was a true bad hair day. Fortunately, Kutt, my favourite salon at Grünerløkka in Oslo could book me in the same day.
Thus, I now have a good hair night with new highlights and no split ends. Hurrah!

The Perfect Leather Jacket

Leather jackets were frequently seen at the Paris Fashion Week A/W 2009.

Everyone should own a leather jacket that fits perfectly. The perfect leather jacket ages beautifully and will follow your look for years. Here are a few nominees:
For the budget diva: Suede biker jacket from Cubus

For the rich girl: Studded biker leather jacket by Alexander Wang. From MyTheresa.com

For the trendy Scandinavian: Biker jacket from Acne in lamb leather.
