My New Dress

Here is the dress I bought at the sample sale I blogged about. I really like the pink colour and the embellishment on the front. The ear loops that I wear are also from the same sale - from Dyrberg/Kern. I'm going to a few weddings this summer, so I'm thinking about wearing this dress to one of them. No matter what, it's nice to have a dress ready for whatever occation that might come around.

Rock & Republic Sample Sale

Are you a fan of the American jeans brand, Rock & Republic?

Then you should drop by their sample sale in Hegdehaugsveien (next to H&M Cosmetics).

Styling a vintage dress

Today I found this really cute vintage chiffon dress at Fretex. Most certainly, it is really a slip, but I love the colour so much that I think it deserves a life beyond the bedroom.

Here's how I intend to pull it off.

Old-fashioned Romance

To hide its see-through look I put a white tank and a high-waisted tulle underskirt underneath the dress. To define my waist, I added a linen belt set with shells (that originally belonged to a top). Then, to finish the look, I thought a pastel purse like this from Mulberry would go nicely with the sheer colours to complete the nostalgic romantic look.

Rock & Romance

With a cropped biker jacket and studded heels, the dress instantly got a more edgy look.

Take me out now!

Casual Cool

Jeans go with everything and completes the casual look. Wearing this faded short-sleeved jacked, paired with sunglasses and ballerinas, I'd be ready to hit the stores or meet the girls for lunch.

Just bring on the sunny weather, please!

Happy Friday

I've noticed that if you wear your shorts with bright tights, then your legs feels less revealed. 

These ones are quite teeny tiny, so I paired them with my brightest red.

Now it time to start cooking dinner: filet mignon and grilled vegetables. Yum!

Oslo, Sunday, May 17: Norway celebrates its National Day.

Everyone was there...

..So was I, wearing my traditional bunad (national costume).

Since my shoes was stolen last month (oh, yeah..), I had to buy a new pair of shoes. Luckily for my, I found the perfect (yet traditional) ones at Finn.no. They were hardly worn, of top quality (from Klaveness) - and reasonably priced:)

Even the trees dressed up nicely for May 17.:)

Yesterday I picked up the Matthew Williamson goody bag that my sister sent me. Since she managed to get hold of some treasured pieces of the H&M collection (while I was stuck at work), I felt very lucky! And even better; Everything fit perfectly, like this cute shirt.

I bought these studded gladiator shoes from Office in London last year, feeling slightly daring. This year, however, they're all over. But I got them first!

My scoop from Matthew Williamson

I dag var dagen hvor sommerkolleksjonen til Matthew Williamson ble lansert i alle H&M butikker verden over.

I følge damen bak kassen på H&M på Karl Johan, hadde køen stått ned hele gata i dag tidlig.

Etter hva jeg har hørt, var det på samme tidspunkt folketomt på H&M i Moss... I dag ville det altså ha lønnet seg å vært bygde-fashionista!

Heldigvis hadde jeg en alliert søstershopper i Stavanger som fikk sikret meg opptil flere godbiter av kolleksjonen mens jeg var på jobb. Gleder meg til å sjekke posten på lørdag!

Denne herlige silkekjolen var jeg imidlertid så heldig å få fatt i på egen hånd. Trodde først ikke den enslige silkesaken var noe særlig - påfugler har for meg hittil vært assosiert med pensjonerte damer på cruiseferie. Men så fort jeg prøvde kjolen på, kom jeg raskt på bedre tanker. Kjolen var utrolig detaljfull og volangermene ga en vakker siluett, som passer både til hverdagslige og festfine anledninger.

Det er vel bare å igjen gratulere H&M for nok et vellykket designerprosjekt!

Reasons to love Finn.no

Jeg har lenge drømt om den perfekte skinnjakke; En skinnjakke i fløyelsmykt lær, god passform og et design som skiller den ut fra andre. Jada, jeg kunne sikkert ha funnet fram til et slikt eksemplar ved å tråkke gjennom Frogner eller Bogstadveien. Men å betale flere tusen for drømmen villle gitt meg en magefølelse som fort kunne overstyre gleden. Jeg er jo tross alt økonomisk anlagt...

Da jeg oppdaget denne jakken på Finn.no, og det i min størrelse, var jeg derfor overlykkelig.

Jakken er fra Munderingskompaniet, et lite dansk merke jeg innrømmer å ikke ha hørt om før, og er laget av vasket italiensk lær. Den forrige eieren hadde kun brukt den noen få ganger, så standsmessig fremstår den som ny. Prisen deriomot var dumpet til en brøkdel av utsalgspris.

For a long time, I've been dreaming about this perfect leather jacket; The one with the softest leather, freshest design and highest quality. Of course, I could always find one if I didn't have a budget to consider, but again... that wouldn't feel like a good deal.

Hence, I was delighted when I found this lovely leather jacket at finn.no (Norwegian online marketplace).

It's from the Danish fashion label, Munderingskompaniet and is made from soft washed Italian leather.

As its former owner had only worn it a couple of times it was in mint condition. The price, however, was heavily marked down. I feel so lucky!
