Holiday!

I've finally started my summer holiday - Three weeks off work is really a blessing:) In relation to this, this blog will unfortunately be temporarily down prioritized. I don't spend that much time in front of the computer these days, but I promise I will make it up again later.

I wish you all a happy summer! For those of you back in Norway: Don't make the bad weather break you down. There is still time to relax and meet up with family and beloved friends (indoor).

In a couple of weeks I'm going to Tuscany. Just cruising around in a rental car, tasting local wine and Italian food. Also, I've planned in a visit to a couple of outlets (including Prada and Gucci). Can't wait!

If anyone knows some must-see-sights, I'll be delighted to hear as this will be my first time in this part of italy.

New Used Bag

A great budget tip for those who don't feel like spending a fortune on bags (but still want the crème de la crème) is to buy secondhand. At online marketplaces like Finn.no (Norwegian) and Lauritz.com (Scandinavian) it is possible to come across great deal on secondhand authentic designer bags. Some are even brand new or very little used. Of course, one should be aware of fakes, but with some bag knowledge and common sense (if the price it's too good to be true, it probably is) these are not too difficult to reveal.

Recently, I bought this lovely Mulberry Jaquetta bag. The seller, a lawyer who seemed to be even more crazy for bags than I am, sold the bag because she never used it. And because she had lost the receipt, I got it for a ridiculously low price. As it is truly authentic and in superb condition, I don't complain:)

the metallic trend works just as well for beach as in the city. The shopper from fits all your essentials, while the shirt dress is both comfortable and cool (Top Shop). Bangles from and sandals from ASOS, bikini top from H&M.

Rain In The City

Even though it's pouring with rain, there's no need to stay out of fashion. Dress up in a Macintosh trench, like this one from Rag & Bone/Shopbop, bring the feel good umbrella by Tibor Kalman (available at Nasjonalgalleriet in Oslo), and go dancing in the rain in water proof rubber wellingtons from Hunter. The shiny leather bag from Balenciaga completes the look.

Wrist Candy

I just discovered this silver double wrap bracelet from CC & Skye. This is indeed a great update to their popular gold and leather bracelet. 18k gold and Italian leather complete the exquisite feel (and so does the price!). Check it out at MaxandChloe.com, an online provider of luxury accessories, like Kenneth Jay Lane.

Update: By typing in the discount code, MJ15 at the cashier, you'll be given 15% off on all merchandise - including the sale:)

silhouettes

I just had to post the pictures of these two beautifully dressed woman from The Sartorialist.
Love the silhouettes! So feminine!

Friendly Charity

The skirt I was wearing today was given to me by my really nice friend who claimed it didn't suit her. Exchanging clothes that we don't wear, is indeed a great way of updating our wardrobes without spending a penny. Like friendly charity!
Outfit details:

Skirt: Jenny Hellstrøm
Cardigan: French Connection (with my own lace ribbon)
Top: H&M
Bag: Miu Miu
The flowers belong to someone's rose garden.
