Double Tagged!

I've been double tagged!
Both Couture Bowl and Ladybird want me to post seven random facts about myself, so here it goes:

1) When I was a little child I loved chewing gum so much that I used to scratch those already. chewed gums off the ground and put them in my mouth (ehh! I know...).
2) I love participating in competitions, and I once won a laptop:-)
3) My favourite dress is the one I bought at a market in Bangkok for 80 kr ($14)
4) I'm always happy when the sun shines
5) Cinnamon is my favourite spice, and I sprinkle it over my cereal, fruit salad, tea, and milk.
6) My favourite sport is mountain climbing and I don't mind the bruises - as long as I make it to the top!
7) I have no problems with falling in sleep - in the car, on the plane or on the train....Zzz

Report Of The Day

T-shirt: Marc Jacobs, Bolero: Gina Tricot, Jeans: April 77, Pendant: Dyrberg/Kern

My weekend in Copenhagen with my girlfriends was great fun. Although I didn't shop that much, just looking around at Illums and Urban Outfitters was not too bad either. We were lucky, 'cause the summer sale had just started. This meant that this golden pendant from Dyrberg/Kern became mine for half the price. Very fashion economic, I must say;-)

Copenhagen street style in general is quite laid back. Jeans, t-shirts or vest tops with big scarfs like on the picture were spotted regularly.

Copenhagen's Calling

Tomorrow I'll be off to Copenhagen with my girlfriends. Can't wait to check out my scandi sisters' street style, open sandwiches, Urban Outfitters, and a cool Tuborg;-)

Have a great weekend everyone! See you next week.

The Shopaholic's Bible

Bag the best and feel fabulous in the latest looks, the hottest heels and the newest beauty accessories, all delivered straight to your door...

This guide to online shopping must be the ultimate device of every sophisticated web shopper.
The featured websites in the book have been handpicked and thoroughly researched by online shopping expert, Patricia Davidson, to bring you the complete low-down on product range, price range, delivery options, gift-wrapping, returns, and site usability.

We already have shopping guides to the big cities, and now we can also be guided around in the Internet. It just had to come...
The book can be bought online - naturally - at Amazon.com

Unreliable Buyer

Grrr... looked as if my buyer backed out on the Chloé bag!
She didn't tell me until I called her on the day were supposed to meet. Not very nice behaviour.
Well, well... Perhaps it's a sign?! Should I keep the bag after all?
Anyway, if any of you are interested in buying it, write me an e-mail. Otherwise, I'll start wearing it with the pride it deserves:)

Mulberry Sale On Now

As some of you might know, I have a true weakness for handbags. Sadly, (from a financial point of view) my taste is rather exclusive. I always fall for the bags within the most expensive range. It's not because I long to wear the "it" bag just for the sake of acknowledgement. Rather, I value real leather, good quality, and original styles. These unfortunately don't come cheap, but I like to think that their life time value will be higher than a bad quality fashion bag.

I'm always up for a good steal, though. Hence, I warmly welcome Mulberry's seasonal sale. The above bag, Emmy, is my favourite, and it can be yours for half price.

Check out their beautiful marked down bags here.

Chloé Must Go

After some thinking, I've decided to sell my Chloé bag. The bag is really lovely, but as I was offered a really good price for it, I just couldn't reject letting it go. After all, I already have two brown totes, and that's probably more than enough (at least for a while...;)).

Instead, I could need a new camera. With the sales money, I therefore plan to buy Canon Power S3 IS, that is said to be a powerful ultra zoom digital camera. I love taking pictures and recording videos, and can barely wait to go out and be creative:) If anyone has any experience with this, please share them with me, as I would make sure I'll make a good deal.

Oh Happy Daaay!

With record breaking 30 degrees in Oslo, what could be better than spending the day on one of the islands in Oslofjorden? Together with what seemed to be 1/4 of the city's municipals, I went on a half day trip to Hovedøya, where I spent time sunbathing and swimming for the first time this year:)
A great day!

My after beach outfit:
- Halterneck top from Bik Bok
- Skirt from Bik Bok
- Flip-flops bought in Thailand (blister friendly shoes, yes please...)
- Secondhand bag (as before)
- sun glasses from Tom Ford

Chloë Sevigny's Home

Apart from fashion, I love interior design and home styling. Looking inside other's home is thus something I find particularly interesting. Both because it's great for snapping up ideas, and because I'm curious to see how other people live;-)

Smart Shopping

I know you probably don't think much about shopping for ski wear at this time of the year, but when it comes to shopping, it's definitely worth being proactive.
Salomon, the producer of alpine and ski wear, bags and shoes, invites you all to their clearance/ sample sale, and the prices will be just as nice as the weather:)

Hours: 18. June from 4 pm - 8 pm

Today's Look

Today I'm wearing a secondhand shirt dress bought in Paris, combined with my mother's belt, shoes from Bronx and bag from Mulberry. The bracelet is CC & Sky.

Now, I'm off to work, and later on, I'll spend as much time as possible outdoor in "Hawaii Oslo":)
Have a brilliant Friday, everyone!!!

Yellow Yellow

Insiped by the nice sunny weather, I go for yellow!

Let the sun reflect your clothes like the woman in this picture by The Sartorialist or bright up your white tee with a plastic pearl necklace like this from Cubus.

This girl from Oslostil wears her yellow perfectly.
The tube dress is available at H&M looks summer bright and will fit just as well at the beach as in the city, depending on how it's styled.

As bright colours come and go in the world of fashion, I would opt for the less expensive high street stores when shopping for yellow. This is a typical summer trend, so there's no need to splurge out on the most exlusive designer wear. H&M, Zara, and Gina Tricot all have plenty of styles that don't ruin your holiday budget:)

Top: H&M
Cardigan: Cubus
Butterfly necklace: My sister's... and I think it origins from Nice, France.
Bag: From my local vegetable market;)

Saturday's Outfit

Saturday, I was invited to a birthday party by four guys that all turned 30 this spring. First, we met up in the park for a quick barbecue, and then, after a pub race, we reach the dedicated location where the party was held. The birthday boys had rented a place belonging to a MC club, with a cover band and everything. Quite tacky, yes, but, we all had such a fun night:)

The outfit: Top from Stella McCartney/H&M, jeans from Fornarina, shawl from flea market, bracelet from Dyrberg/Kern, and silver bag from the basement.

Sleeping Beauty

Just had to post a picture from the ballet, Sleeping Beauty that I went to see on Friday. This famous ballet was performed by the local school of Ballet in Moss, and I was really impressed by the performances of all the dancers involved. From the young children to the more experienced ballerinas, they all formed a great work of art.

Lovestruck

This pink pearl necklace from Mawi is one of the most adorable I've ever seen. The gold-toned heart and arrow and the small skull charm make a unique design.
I'll add it to my wish list right away!
